When you are faced with fuel contamination and fuel theft in your company, you need an expert to take care of it in a timeous and efficient manner. That is why Globaltrack was Transtech Logistic’s first line of contact.
Transtech Logistics, located in Kempton Park, Gauteng provides reliable transport and logistic solutions to businesses across Southern Africa.
When Transtech Logistics opened their branch in Kempton Park in 2013, they required a tracking company that will assist them in making their transport operations quicker, easier and cheaper. This is when Transtech Logistics discovered Globaltrack.
Carla Goosen (PR and Content Officer) from Globaltrack met with Francisca Ndlovu (QA Coordinator) from Transtech on the 26th of July to discuss the unfortunate case of fuel theft. The Diesel Manager at Hlomphanang Logistics referred Globaltrack’s fuel management solution to Transtech Logistics because it works well when implemented correctly.
Transtech Logistics decided to take on a project with 10 trucks in partnership with Globaltrack’s support team to see at what extent the fuel solutions can solve their fleet management problems.
The issues that the company was faced with were incorrect fuel reports, fuel probes that were not recording and an increase in fuel consumption.
Globaltrack’s support team discovered fuel contamination, fuel probe tampering and dented tanks that lead to incorrect fuel readings. The damaged fuel probes were replaced, the tanks that gave incorrect fuel readings were recalibrated and detailed reports of fuel theft events were handed over to Ms Ndlovu.
Transtech Logistics found project to be very useful and have decided to extend this project in partnership with Globaltrack.
If you suspect that fuel theft and fuel contamination is related to the rise in fuel consumption of your fleet, contact Globaltrack.
